Made it fit
Filter is made very well. It's my fault that I didn't check the clearances around the carb but I made it fit. I cut the supports on the mesh part and then twisted (like and hour glass) it to fit around the frame to fit on the carb. It doesn't look good but it works great on my 97 Targa

Great filter, tough process
High flow allowed for a few mph and noticeable power gain over the mesh one. Fits tightly, put onto the carb, the carb onto the intake, and then attach the whole thing to the reeds/cylinder for easiest install without forcing it on there or letting a piece be uncovered. Using the 70 cc, jamacrol/tecno boss pipe, 16.16 I have it jetted with an 83 I believe. If I am wrong I'll correct myself

Ok filter.
It does allow for more air flow but it fits tight fit against bike frame in a stock set up causing filter to be distorted and rubber coupler to separate from filter. Had to push filter further onto carburetor body to make work on my set up. I might go back to stock air filter and experiment. Something about it pulling air from the frame that makes me think the air might be cooler inside the frame than air around the engine. Will need to experiment more using temp probe and meter.
