Malossi intake used to mount 15mm or 16mm SHA style carburetors onto the Motobecane AV7 type engines. Great upgrade over the stock Gurtner carburetor.

Tech Tip: You may need to file/ground down the top of the intake to clear the cooling fins on the cylinder.

Malossi Intake - Cool decal, useable intake
Ok, so upon receiving my Malossi intake manifold, I was impressed by the Sweet decal, as well as the nice shiny finish, and machined mounting port - Now, I was more than aware that the intake may have needed some filing / grinding of the upper portion of the mounting base to clear the cooling fins Which it Did, but what I found to be sub-par was how the manifold did not match well to the porting on the cylinder head / Jug - Upon first running my stock 50cc 50V with the new intake, and Dellorto 15.15 I noticed a dead spot in the acceleration - So I pulled the head off, port matched the intake to the head by grinding the port to the right dimention, and Whammo - Worked like a charm ! I would have to say this intake would prob work well on the 70cc head conversions, but on the stock 50cc you need to do some mods - Not for the beginner, def. a challenge for someone with a little more experience
